   Advice for high school

I asked my mom what ideas she had about high school and she gave me many answer that will be very helpful. She said to always stay connected with friends and to never procrastinate with assignments, no matter how small. I find this advice to be very useful because even though I hear already in middle school, high school is much more demanding harder.

Next, I went to my dad and asked him the same question. I got a completely different answer from him, which wasn't to surprising. He said to just have fun and to not focus too much on school, but still try my hardest. His advice was much funnier, but it meant a lot more to me because it made me think that high school may be all about learning, but you can still have fun with it.

I think my parents advice to me will become very useful for me and it will help me get through high school. I think high school will be a great learning experience, but still be a great time. If I can keep looking at school as a good thing then it will keep coming as a fun event.

     The Perfect School

I think the school is a great thing and that everybody should and want to go to it. I love going to school everyday to see my friends and being involved with interesting conversation about things I have never heard of before. I think that a great school starts with great teachers and that is why Philomath Middle School is the only school I would ever think about going to.

The perfect school would start with a no homework policy on weekdays because school already takes up about eight hours of a regular day and it shouldn't take any more. Also I think that at the end of each school day the last thirty minutes should be a free time and students can play basketball, talk, or go to a teacher to get extra help.

Lastly if a student goes on vacation, they shouldn't have to come back to school with tons homework to do. I'm not saying that they should be excused from all the work, but all the work from each class should be minimized in to something less difficult and less time consuming. Also in each class the students should be allowed to listen to music, but the teacher of that class may tell them to put them away or take them if the class is being disrespectful to him or her.

     I BELIEVE.....

I believe that I can achieve anything that I put my mind to. I think if I put all my time and energy into something like homework or just school in general that there is no way for me to fail. If I ever get a bad grade or fail a test it's because I didn't try and want it enough and that will make me try harder in the future.

In school teachers tell you all the information and even extra that you will need for a future test and so there is no reason not to get a good grade. I think that teachers always do a good job of preparing us for tests or quizzes and a good grade is up to the student to try their hardest and perform at their best. I think blaming the teacher for a bad grade is a terrible thing and it shows that the student is incapable of taking responsibility.

My dream all my life has been to be able to make it to the NBA and be paid to do something I love like basketball. I think that I can accomplish this goal by working extremely hard and never giving up on myself. I really do believe that I can accomplish anything I want.

I think glow in the dark should be our 8th grade dessert dance theme because our class is very bright and courageous. The decorations should be glow sticks on the ground by all of the walls and glowing wristbands handed to students at the gate. To make this night special, I can bring some decorations for others to have.
